What makes the mentorship in this 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training unique?
Personalised Mentorship
In our 200-hour online Yoga Teacher Training, I am committed to providing deep, personalised support for every student. These one-on-one sessions, conducted via Zoom, are designed to help you stay focused, overcome challenges, and receive the guidance you need to achieve your goals.
I believe in quality over quantity, which is why I intentionally keep my training groups small, with a maximum of 10 people. This allows me to be there for you every step of the way, ensuring you reach your desired outcome with the confidence and skills to share your unique yoga journey with others.
Important: Personalised Mentorship Structure
NOTE: For the first four weeks after signing up, you’ll receive a private 30-minute call each week. These sessions will help you get comfortable with the platform and discuss your personalised Ayurvedic plan to support your journey.
After the initial four weeks, we’ll come together every Thursday morning at 6:30 am for a group call. This is a great opportunity to continue receiving guidance. If you can’t attend a live call, no worries—they’ll be recorded and uploaded to the online platform, so you can watch them at a time that works best for you.

"How is the mentorship structured in the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training?"

For the first four weeks, each trainee receives a weekly 30-minute one-on-one mentoring call with me. These calls, conducted via Zoom, are dedicated to keeping you on track, addressing challenges, and offering personalised guidance.
After this initial period, we transition to a group format with weekly calls every Thursday morning at 6:30 am. If you can’t make a live call, no worries—each session will be recorded and available for you to watch at your convenience. This ensures you have ongoing support and flexibility throughout your training journey.
"How many students are in each training group?"
I intentionally keep my training groups small, with a maximum of 10 people. This allows me to provide personalized attention to each student, ensuring you receive the support and mentorship needed to reach your desired outcome.
"What can I expect from the weekly mentoring calls?"
The weekly mentoring calls are a dedicated time for us to connect on your progress, address any questions or challenges you might have, and provide tailored guidance. Whether you’re looking to deepen your practice, refine your teaching skills, or just need some encouragement, these calls are designed to support your unique journey.
Addressing Misconceptions and FAQs
"I need to be young, thin, strong, and flexible to do a yoga course."
Yoga is not just about the physical aspects. According to Patanjali’s Eight Limb Path, the physical practice constitutes only 12.5% of yoga. Yoga is non-competitive, but it encourages you to compete with your old self. By the end of this training, you’ll find yourself far beyond where you started.
"Should I become a yoga teacher? I already have a job. I just want to know more about yoga."
Despite the name, Yoga Teacher Training isn’t only for those who want to become teachers. Many graduates continue their current professions while teaching yoga. Teaching yoga can provide a respite from another job and complement it. Through this training, you’ll practice public speaking, and learn to prepare and deliver complex concepts in a digestible manner. Learning to teach yoga enriches your current life without disregarding your previous achievements.
"I haven’t found the right yoga teacher."
At Unity Yoga Ayurveda, you’ll be guided step-by-step through a fully Yoga Alliance Certified 200-Hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training. We combine practice, philosophy, and personal development with wholehearted support from experienced yoga teachers and fellow students.

I will recommend doing your training through Unity Yoga Ayurveda. The group size allowed for frank open discussion, support & constructive comment with an immense level of trust developed in order to do all of this yoga teacher training.
Teacher training changed me not only for health & exercise but also benefited my mind & who I am internally. It is an insight into my own health & wholeness. An understanding that yoga is not movement or poses. It’s a way of life & life impacting on every level.
Thank you and I would love to see our group connection remain beyond the end of this.

I absolutely recommend Unity Yoga Ayurveda! There is so much support from Susan & the other students. Even if you don’t want to teach yoga, it can teach us simply a better way of living our life & to be healthy in mind & body. I truly loved the connections that were created between all of the students. A beautiful way to de-stress, connect mind and body & so many tools for a more authentic & happy life. The friendships made with the other students are for life.

The reason behind why I joined Yoga Teacher Training is for personal development and now, I feel I can embrace a new way of living and really live in the present.
What I liked the best about teacher training is that.. Susan is a compassionate and kind person as well as an experienced yogi and teacher. I wouldn’t have been taught by anyone else. She encourages connection and love throughout her teachings. She taught me to be kind to myself, and improved Mental Health. I feel content and more grounded within my life.

This Teacher training taught me not to bother with the small stuff. Be true to yourself and show others grace and kindness. I can say that I am now a better person holistically and I am able to take better care of my body. Sisterhood and a better appreciation for what I have.
I like that Susan is committed, walks the walk, lives the lifestyle and is authentic. She invests herself in the training this is why I will definitely recommend her Yoga Teacher Training.

Yoga teacher training allowed me to develop my own personal practice on a much deeper level as well as providing me with the skills and confidence to share the joy of yoga with others.
I like that Susan created an amazing space with which to connect and share with a wonderful group of fellow trainees. I loved delving into the other eight limbs of yoga, not just the asanas. It’s put on a path to learn more and share the many benefits of yoga with others. This training has given me back something that I thought I’d lost. It’s given me the confidence to believe in myself and to know that everything I need I have inside of me.
Charlene A.
I have gained knowledge on all aspects of yoga, how to practise and how to teach. What I didn’t realise that I would get out of the training, was the self development that would occur. I gained confidence and self compassion within myself and with the help of my fellow yoga teachers in training, I was able to open up, share laughter, tears and listen to inspiring stories. That part of the training was not something I expected but is something I’ll never forget.
I will definitely recommend Unity Yoga Ayurveda! Susan creates a caring and compassionate atmosphere for learning. She is patient and understanding and teaches yoga to suit everyone at their different stages on their yoga path. She integrates life experiences with her teachings, making it practical and less overwhelming. This teacher training has opened up a new beginning for me. It has shown me who I am and who I want to be. It has deepened my passion for yoga. It has allowed me to step out of my comfort zone. I do think I am ready and excited to begin teaching.
