Unity Yoga Ayurveda, a Registered Yoga School (RYS®) with Yoga Alliance International, invites you to elevate your practice and teaching skills with our comprehensive 300 Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training.
Completing this training allows RYT-200 certified students to register as 300 hour RYT with Yoga Alliance, signifying the highest standard of yoga teaching.

Weekend 1: Yoga Philosophy, Techniques, Training, and Practice
10th and 11th November
- Advanced Asanas and Pranayamas: Intermediate and advanced poses offer a deeper challenge, enhancing strength, flexibility, and mental focus. Poses like Handstand and Forearm stand demand core stability and upper body strength, promoting balance and concentration.
- We will break down Complex postures that you can’t imagine practicing with ease but you will. Mindset really does play an important role in achieving anything in life and we learn this on our mat especially when we are learning more difficult postures and sequencing.
- We will delve into the traditional texts of Hatha Yoga Pradipika to master these advanced postures and breathwork techniques.
- Explore the practice of many traditions. Including Ashtanga, Tantra, Kriya, sivananda, vini Yoga, Ayurveda Yoga. All Hatha Yoga but sequenced differently and has slight variances to achieve the one goal.
- Design Your Daily and Seasonal Ayurvedic routines according to your Dosha: Integrate Ayurvedic techniques and knowledge to create morning and seasonal routines that will enhance self-discovery and daily meditation.
- Yoga Philosophy: Explore deeper understanding of some of the ancient texts, gaining deeper insights into the theory and practice of yoga and how we can take this ancient knowledge and apply it to our modern lives.
- Learn The Four Paths of Yoga: Mentioned in the Bhagavad Gita which offers guidance on overcoming self-doubt and fear by tapping into inner strength and connecting with our true nature.
Weekend 2: Anatomy and Physiology

- Energy Anatomy: Apply principles of nadis and chakras to your practice and teaching. Move beyond the physical and explore deeper techniques that will build depth in your practice and enable you to teach yoga principles and practices to a community at large.
- Western and Ayurvedic Perspectives: Understand the physical anatomy of bodily systems and organs from both viewpoints.
- Psychological Benefits: Design practices and classes considering age, temperament, time of day, and other factors.
- Meditation Techniques: Experience various meditation styles, including walking, journey, and body scan meditation.
- Herbal Energetics: Learn about the medicinal use of herbs in yoga practice.
Weekend 3: Teaching Methodology and Practicum

- Teaching Styles: Identify your dominant teaching style and adapt to others’ learning styles.
- Assisting and Adjusting: Gain skills in providing effective adjustments and feedback.
- Effective Communication: Learn the use of language and voice to meet the specific needs of individuals and special populations.
- Mantras and Japas: Discover the benefits of these practices for physical and mental well-being.
- Focus on the spiritual aspect of Yoga Practice, including meditation, chanting, and pranayama [breathing exercises] into your teaching and self practice.
Certification Requirements
270 Contact Hours:
- Weekend Training: 3 weekends with Lead Trainer, either in person or online (48 hours)
- Practice with Susan: 135 hours, available online or attending Saturday mornings training at home studio
- Online Classes & Modules: Includes Technique Training, Advanced Pranayamas and meditations, Chants, Teaching methodology, Anatomy and Physiology of bodily systems, organs, energy anatomy and physiology, Yoga Philosophy, Ayurvedic medicine modules and quizzes on each, assignments tasks and webinars. (62 hours)
- Teaching Practice: Teach a minimum of 5 one-hour classes and assist and adjust and offer feedback to the 200hr group on Saturday mornings. Note if you are completing the course 100% online recorded practice teaching, observing and offering feedback will be excepted. (30 hours)
30 Non-Contact Hours:
- Assignments: Complete two yoga-related assignment tasks which will be suitable to your interest from the training. .

What’s the edge of 300RYT?
A foundational 200 Hour TTC covers around 100 Hatha asanas with a limited number of sequences. In the Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Program, you will learn up to 75 more advanced poses and a huge variety of sequences. This may help to inspire you to teach new concepts to different student audiences.
During our 300 Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training, you will learn how to develop special themes, sequence modifications and teach particular groups with specific needs (woman during pregnancy, people with diabetes, chronic back pain or digestive disorders).

A: The course is self-paced, allowing you to start and finish at your convenience. You have a minimum of 12 months and a maximum of 2 years to complete the course. If you are completing the course 100% online you must attend a minimum of 45 hours online real-time with lead training over the course.

A: You have 2 years of access to the course materials.
Q: Will I receive a certificate after completing this course?
A: Yes, upon completion, you will receive a certificate allowing you to register as an RYT 300 with Yoga Alliance International.
